Engineering Team Member

Location: Schweizerhalle, Switzerland

At the Novartis production site in Schweizerhalle, our engineering team is looking for reinforcement. Your responsibility will include ensuring that processes run smoothly and reliably. You will also take responsibility for maintenance and calibration tasks, ensuring that equipment functions optimally, and conducting start-ups to maintain standards. Your tasks include:

  • Leading improvements to equipment, utilities, and buildings (energy efficiency, productivity, environmental compliance, maintenance)
  • Planning, executing, and documenting maintenance and calibration activities, root cause analysis for deviations, and technical support and coordination of internal and external technicians
  • Supporting and leading internal and external audits, ensuring GMP and HSE compliance without critical findings
  • Leading or participating in projects to improve equipment, utilities, and systems (e.g., energy efficiency, productivity, compliance with environmental regulations, maintenance)
  • Creating, reviewing, and approving drawings, lists, schedules, diagrams, layouts, calculations, and data sheets in the project
  • Cost-efficient technical solutions in the area of responsibility

What you bring to the position:

  • Five years of experience as a plant engineer in the technical field, preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
  • Technical education preferably with a further education as technician HF/FH
  • Project management skills and in-depth technical expertise
  • Knowledge of commissioning and qualification
  • Ability to convey complex technical content clearly and understandably, also to management and other departments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GxP/HSE and quality systems
  • Language skills: German and English
