As the Supervisor of Plant Engineering Services, you will:
What We're Looking For:
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Associate Degree (two-year college degree in a technical science/trade), preferred.
Experience: 5 years, required: experience in managing and coordinating the activities of technicians involved in maintaining and improving plant facilities and equipment, or equivalent informal experience leading teams and initiatives within the operations and maintenance environment. 10+ years, required: experience ensuring safe and efficient plant operations, while overseeing projects related to maintenance, repairs, and modifications; performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare or similar work environment. Healthcare facility and maintenance/operations experience, highly preferred.
Licensure: Valid Driver's License, required.
Additional Skills (Required): Extensive knowledge in management and oversight of facility maintenance and operations. Thorough knowledge of principles in design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Knowledgeable of applicable codes and standards including NFPA, OSHA, JCAHO, State oversight, and Local AHJ. Analytical, critical thinking, and diplomacy skills. Basic knowledge of general accounting procedures. Skill in data analysis, organization, and presentation. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with physicians, administration, other departmental directors, nursing, and outside agencies.
Additional Skills (Preferred): Strong leadership skills including creativity, innovation, cooperation, independent judgment, adaptability, perseverance, and loyalty. Ability to delegate and motivate a team. High energy level, perceptive, and strong work ethic. Hands-on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical expertise highly preferred.
