As a Protective Services Officer, you will:

    Qualifications

    • Education: High school diploma or GED (required)
    • Experience: Healthcare public safety or police experience (preferred)
    • Licensure & Certification (required): IAHSS Basic and/or Advanced Training Certification within 6 months of hire Armed Security Officer Registration Permit through the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board within 12 months of hire NC state-approved restrictive intervention curriculum (facility-specific) within 3 months of hire BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
    • Required skills & competencies: Must qualify for and maintain Armed Security Officer Registration Permit per annual standards Public contact/customer service experience Completion of all required organizational, field, and in-service training Basic computer proficiency Successful completion of competency testing and skills validation Strong radio and telephone communication skills Clear, accurate, and detailed report writing ability No criminal record Valid driver's license in state of residence Compliance with vehicle use policies Immediate reporting of any motor vehicle or criminal charges
    • Preferred skills: Security experience Law enforcement background Military service experience
