Customer Support Specialist

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Customer Support Specialist in our Waltham, MA facility to support, primarily by telephone, with end users of Nova products to solve technical problems and answer questions related to the operation and maintenance of their analyzer. This position is 100% onsite in Waltham and the hours are 9:30-6:30 Monday through Friday.

More specific responsibilities will include:

• Communicate with end users, Field Service Specialists, Clinical Applications and Field Sales representatives to resolve technical problems and answer questions related to StatStrip and StatSensor products.
• Provide support for NovaNet and escalate issues to the POC Installation and Support Specialists when necessary.
• Enter details of each call including steps taken to resolve problems and/or answer questions into the Pivotal Database.
• Generate Return Material Authorizations to replace damaged or defective products and consumables.
• Assist in the training of new Customer Support Specialists.
• On occasion, take part in special projects for customers or the Technical Support department.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Graduate with strong emphasis in Laboratory Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or Electronics.
• A minimum of 2 to 4 years' Customer Support experience is preferred.
• Must be an effective communicator with strong analytical skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Familiarity with point of care, Clinical laboratory or research laboratory a plus.
