Account Manager – Downhole Technologies

The Account Manager will oversee business opportunities and operational issues across the complete NOV Downhole Technologies portfolio. This role requires close collaboration with Country Managers, Operations Support, Sales Teams, Production Engineering, and Business Administration to drive strategic growth, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, including 3+ years in technical sales or account management within oilfield services or downhole tools.
  • Engineering degree in a relevant field (Petroleum, Mechanical, or equivalent) required.
  • Proven knowledge of Downhole Technologies products, applications, and high-level selling methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive customer engagement and growth across all Downhole Technologies product lines.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key strategic accounts.
  • Ensure on-time delivery, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
  • Establish and monitor account performance metrics and profitability targets.
  • Provide technical support and on-site assistance, including rig visits and troubleshooting.
  • Track tool performance and competitor activity; prepare case histories and technical reports.
  • Contribute to industry visibility through participation in conferences, publications, and technical events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support logistics, rental fleet management, and business development initiatives.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and NOV safety standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Deliver technical application support through customer visits, presentations, and field activities.
  • Assist at rig sites with sales, tool deployment, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Manage logistics, rental fleet utilization, and revenue tracking processes.
  • Conduct domestic travel as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality in customer communications and commercial matters.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of drilling tools, downhole sensors, and BHA design and performance.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal teams and client interactions.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex technical and operational challenges.
  • Field Experience: Hands-on experience in demanding drilling environments with a solid understanding of rig operations.
  • Technical Competence: Proficient in MS Office Suite, CRM tools, and digital sales pipeline systems.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Turkish (mandatory).
