Northrop Grumman is looking for a highly motivated Work Instruction Support - Engineering Technician Level 3 to join our Launch Vehicles' Work Instruction Support Entity (WISE) team in Chandler, AZ. As a team member of the WISE, you will be working with the team to support engineering, integration, test, and launch operations team. As a WISE team member, you will support the configuration management of Work Packages (WPs) and MES work instructions across multiple programs throughout Northrop Grumman Launch Vehicles.

Due to the sensitive nature of our work this is a fully on-site position; hybrid or remote work is not available. Relocation benefits are not offered.

In this job, you will:

  • Edit, format, proofread, and maintain WPs (PDF and MS Word) and electronic Work Instructions (MES).
  • Maintain standardization throughout all Launch Vehicle Integration Sites. Including implementation of Technical Manual standards and work instruction formatting.
  • Support the engineering team in the issuing, updating, and closure of work instructions.
  • Utilize WP database to maintain incorporation logs and Work Instruction listings for each program mission.
  • Maintain and update standard templates, style guides, and standard operations.
  • Work with a Lean and Digital Transformation mindset. Utilize tools such as ICARD and A3s to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support management of tools such as JIRA and Tableau for the issuing, closing, and tracking of MES work instructions.
  • Generate and support the delivery of customer needed documentation including As-Runs, Photos, and associated documents.
  • Work with the engineering team to author existing paperwork instructions to the MES environment.
  • Maintain certifications within MES system.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which generally requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Experience editing/formatting documents
  • Experience using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance, current and within scope
  • Completion of a college degree, BS or BA preferred.
  • Experience with MES or other digital work instruction platform
  • Experience with JIRA, Tableau or similar platform
  • Extensive experience editing/formatting documents
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace background

We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)

Primary Level Salary Range: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
