The Defense Systems (DS) has an opening for a Principal Mechanical Engineer. This position is a required on-site position, located on-site at our Defense Systems location Colorado Springs, CO or Roy, UT.
This position will support the Sentinel Program's Command and Control (C2) Hardware Engineering team. This position will join a team of Hardware, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers to design hardware systems and components. This position will apply ASME standard processes and procedures to identify, design, and procure electrical and mechanical hardware. This position will derive requirements from parent specifications, compliance documents, and architecture diagrams in order to identify candidate hardware. This position will perform trade studies, Analysis of Alternatives, and create design artifacts which will be documented and released using Product Lifecycle Management tools and technologies. This position will be required to operate in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment consisting of Systems, Software, Design, Compliance, and Hardware engineers.

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
