Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for a Manager of Programs, M2, to join the Program Engineering Management team within Launch Vehicles business unit located in Chandler, AZ.
This position is 100% on-site in Chandler, AZ facility. No hybrid work or telecommuting is available. No relocation provisions are available.
In the role of PEM, you join a staff of Chief Engineers and Program Engineering Managers (PEMs) that support program execution of ongoing development activities, production, flight operations, and new business capture.
You report to the Advanced Programs (AP) Chief Engineer as a Program Engineering Manager (PEM) and work in concert with the AP Program Management team.
The PEM leads a multi-disciplinary team to define, design, manufacture, and test a weapons system. You support the AP Chief Engineer by leading a multidisciplinary engineering team to successfully complete the required reviews to ensure compliance with both internal and customer requirements, ensure timely completion of customer deliverables, and lead resolution of significant technical issues. You partner with Program PMs and Chief Engineers to achieve efficient, effective, and innovative engineering solutions. You ensure the development of subsystems and supporting technology achieves program success and look for opportunities to leverage common design and products.
The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge regarding tactical weapon systems technologies and operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex problems are essential.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
The position supports both the Advanced Programs Chief Engineer and Program Manager as a Program Engineering Manager. You are responsible for the successful technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs in accordance with Northrop Grumman policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree plus 8 years of experience; Master's of Science Engineering degree plus 6 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
