Propulsion Systems is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Principal Technical Services Project Manager to work as a Value Stream Element Team (VSET) Leader for Propulsion Systems Manufacturing and Development of nozzles and nozzle components at our campus in Promontory, Utah.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
The VSET leader is responsible for total team performance and works closely with operations, program offices and functional organizations to accomplish company goals. The primary focus is the design and manufacture of a defect-free, highest value product that satisfies customer requirements by focusing on and effectively integrating all elements and disciplines of the associated value stream.
Under the direction of the Nozzle Value Stream Director (VSO), leads a specific element or product family within a value stream. Is responsible for overall ownership and accountability of the value stream team including acceptance of requirements, material acceptance, product and process design, planning generation, product manufacture, quality acceptance, and delivery to the downstream customer to meet cost and schedule requirements.
Works closely with the functional organizations (e.g. design, safety and mission assurance, process engineering, supply chain and operations). Manages and ensures effective concurrent engineering through the oversight and integration of all engineering and processing disciplines. Requests, acquires and manages resources within a matrix organization as necessary to accomplish the goals of the value stream. Closely interfaces with program managers to ensure needs of the customer are met.

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
