Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineer Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

The candidate will serve as a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team member, responsible for contributing to the development of the Systems Engineering Model through collaboration with Integrated Product Teams and Systems Engineering leads to develop system architecture solutions and consistency in model development.

We are looking for innovative thinkers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks, giving verbal presentations, and self-educating without direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the U.S. Navy to achieve agreement and meet goals for model development.
  • Follow the prescribed vision for the model, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Promote consistency in model development by adhering to rulesets and a comprehensive style guide.
  • Build and enhance tools and views in Cameo to enforce data input and model integration behavior.
  • Follow the modeling approach through the appropriate use of activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and exporting requirements from DOORS to Cameo.
  • Think pragmatically about establishing processes while remaining open to continuous improvement and adaptation.
  • Demonstrate experience with iterative approaches, such as Agile Systems Engineering, to enhance model development practices.
  • Generate and present material to support internal and external customer briefings.

Basic Qualifications (Engineer Systems Architect):

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active SAP
  • Experience developing model-based systems engineering products in Cameo Enterprise
  • Experience with DOORS
  • Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite
  • Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers

Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00
