We are seeking an experienced Senior Liquidity Sales professional to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving liquidity solutions sales across institutional and corporate clients, leveraging deep market knowledge and established networks within the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional relationship management skills and a proven track record in liquidity products, including cash management and treasury solutions.
What You Will Do:
- Build the Asia distribution effort within NTAM's Liquidity group, including developing and executing a sales strategy
- Strategically position NTAM's offerings to a broad institutional client base including; banks, brokers, insurance, corporates, pension funds, and hedge funds
- Develop new client relationships from direct and indirect investors across the Asia region. Support existing relationships where cross-sell opportunities arise
- Collaborate with internal NTAM and Bank partners to leverage the best of One Northern
- In collaboration with NTAM Investments and Product teams, identify new opportunities within the space, actively participate in the development of products
- Work with intermediary platforms, negotiating terms and conditions on distribution agreements. Coordinating with relevant, internal, stakeholders.
- Raise Northern Trust’s profile internally and externally.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Create sales strategy for Asia region and lead sales effort
- Build out local operating model for Liquidity Solutions business
- Identify new strategic products and initiatives, collaborate with internal partners to build products and pipelines
- Make sales presentations to clients utilizing knowledge of investment products and services. Lead and organize Due Diligence visits.
- Collaborate with the wider Northern Trust organization to cross sell One Northern Trust
- Maintain knowledge of investment products and services by initiating frequent contact with other financial institutions, partners, industry bodies and keeping abreast of laws and regulations affecting the product and industry
- Maintains knowledge of competitors and their products and services
- Be actively involved with Northern Trust's Operations team, helping to resolve issues and help build a better model.
About You:
- Significant knowledge of investment management and primarily Liquidity and Short-Term Fixed Income Funds, including UCITS money market funds
- Extensive experience with positioning and selling Cash & Liquidity solutions with a successful track record across multiple currencies
- Experience navigating complex multi-national organizations including decision makers in various jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of custody and asset servicing capabilities
- Ability to communicate and sell Northern Trust Asset Management products and services
- Built a strong network of peer connections in the Cash and Liquidity industry
- Experience with Salesforce
- Ability to travel consistently
- Fluent in English and potentially another language
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated
- Relevant industry qualifications – IMC, CFA, or equivalent
- Ability to work under time pressures both individually and as a team member
- Experience in providing a high level of service to key clients both reactively and proactively.
