The Vocational Training Center (VTC) of Fargo, ND is now searching for a candidate to join our Food Services team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). The Food Services DSP is responsible for preparing, transporting and serving meals at VTC locations. In addition, the Food Services DSP will provide training and oversight of supported individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities that are interested in assisting in the Food Services area.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

• Menu planning
• Assisting with preparing, transporting, and serving meals for the daily food service program at VTC
• Communicating with vendors and collaborating internally to purchase needed ingredients and other supplies
• Ensuring all food safety standards are met in relation to food licensure
• Assisting with cleaning and organizing kitchen and dining areas
• Assisting supported individuals with vocational and social activities
• Maintaining flexibility and composure while working alone or in a team environment
• Completing the competency-based modules as dictated by the North Dakota Department of Human Service, Developmental Disabilities Division

Other duties not listed above may be assigned.

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current Driver's License

Preferred:

• Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, mental health or other related field.
• Prior experience working in food services environment
