Integrated Planning Manager

We are part of Accenture's Supply Chain & Operations practice, helping Fortune 500 and private-equity-backed clients reinvent how they plan and run their supply chains. Our work sits at the intersection of functional consulting, data, digital platforms, and advanced analytics, with increasing focus on GenAI- and Agentic-enabled planning. In the Energy industry (Upstream, Oilfield Services, Downstream), integrated planning is a critical lever to balance cost, service, capital efficiency, and resilience in volatile operating environments. We help clients modernize planning processes, redesign operating models, embed AI-driven decision support, and connect planning with execution across the end-to-end value chain.

You are: As a manager, you will lead integrated planning transformation initiatives, working directly with Energy clients and senior Accenture stakeholders. You will shape strategy, design future-state planning capabilities, and oversee implementation across people, process, data, and technology.

Your responsibilities span the following dimensions:

  • Integrated Planning Strategy & Operating Model
    • Design end-to-end integrated planning strategies aligned to Energy business objectives and asset-driven operating models.
    • Define planning governance, decision rights, roles, and cadence across sales, marketing, finance, operations, and logistics.
    • Redesign planning operating models to integrate human planners, advanced analytics, GenAI, and agentic decision workflows.
  • S&OP / IBP Leadership
    • Lead S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) design and execution, including demand review, supply review, pre-Executive and Executive cycles.
    • Drive alignment between commercial, operational, and financial plans in volatile demand and supply environments.
    • Embed scenario planning, risk sensing, and AI-supported decision-making into executive planning forums.
  • Demand, Supply & Inventory Planning
    • Lead the design and optimization of demand forecasting, supply planning, production planning, and inventory management processes.
    • Balance service levels, cost, and working capital across complex Energy supply networks.
    • Integrate predictive and prescriptive analytics to improve forecast accuracy and planning responsiveness.
  • S&OE & Planning-to-Execution
    • Enable Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) to translate strategic and tactical plans into daily execution.
    • Ensure alignment across production scheduling, inventory deployment, order fulfillment, and logistics.
    • Support the use of intelligent agents and automation to improve execution speed and exception management.
  • GenAI, Analytics & Digital Enablement
    • Identify and implement GenAI and Agentic AI use cases across forecasting, scenario analysis, exception handling, and planner productivity.
    • Guide clients in selecting and implementing planning technologies (e.g., IBP, o9, OMP, Kinaxis).
    • Leverage advanced analytics, simulation, and visualization to deliver actionable planning insights.
  • Performance, Risk & Resilience
    • Define and track supply chain planning KPIs (e.g., service level, inventory turns, plan adherence).
    • Identify supply chain risks and design mitigation strategies for disruptions, capacity constraints, and supplier volatility.
    • Drive continuous improvement through structured performance management.
  • Leadership & Client Delivery
    • Lead small to mid-sized teams on one or multiple planning workstreams.
    • Act as Functional expert with client project teams, ensure proper project delivery and translating planning challenges into executable solutions.
    • Support change management, capability uplift, and planner enablement to ensure sustainable adoption.

    Here's what you need:

    • Energy industry experience (Upstream, OFS, and/or Downstream), gained through consulting or industry roles.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and Integrated Planning initiatives.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience delivering S&OP, demand/supply planning, inventory, or S&OE capabilities.
    • Consulting experience at a firm or equivalent internal consulting experience at Manager level.
    • Strong understanding of planning operating models, processes, and performance management.

    Bonus Points If:

    • Experience embedding advanced analytics, GenAI, or automation into planning processes.
    • Hands-on exposure to planning technology platforms (e.g., SAP IBP, o9, OMP, Kinaxis).
    • Experience working directly for an Energy operator in planning, operations, or supply chain roles.
    • Deep specialization in Demand Forecasting, S&OP / IBP, S&OE, or Inventory Optimization.
    • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certifications.
    • Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).
    • MBA or advanced degree.
    • Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
