Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a leading global manufacturer in the automotive/commercial vehicle industry, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Supplier Network Quality (SNQ) Department supporting Volvo Group Managers, SNQ Engineers, and Surface Treatment Specialists. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently—qualities that will ensure success in this role.

What's the Job?

• Conduct supplier process audits and follow-up visits to ensure compliance with APQP deliverables.
• Communicate regularly with Volvo Group Managers and SNQ teams regarding APQP progress, PPAP status, and project roadblocks.
• Perform quality assurance activities to verify suppliers meet engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Review and analyze corrective action reports and drive actions to reduce or eliminate defects.
• Decide when suppliers are approved and permitted to begin shipping production parts.

What's Needed?

• 2–5 years of relevant supplier quality, manufacturing, or automotive industry experience.
• Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult issues.
• Experience communicating across technical and cross-functional teams.
