The Subsidy Services Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs to Department of Social Services/Local Purchasing Agency (DSS/LPA) subsidized child care staff and licensed child care providers that support the policies and procedures of the Subsidized Child Care Assistance (SCCA) program. The Training Coordinator will play a key role in assessing training needs, designing instructional materials, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives. This position also assists in evaluating training needs for Subsidy Services Section staff. The Subsidy Services Training Coordinator is expected to outline program training objectives, facilitate, and teach to various audiences, virtually and onsite. The coordinator must manage data across multiple learning systems, maintain online course content, and stay abreast of child care training needs, rules, and regulations to support learning experiences tailored to the needs of DSS/LPA staff and licensed child care providers participating in the SCCA program. This position requires travel throughout the state; this sometimes includes overnight travel. Due to travel, there is a need for flexibility, and the employee's daily schedule may vary to fulfill professional responsibilities.

Salary Range: $50,088 - $87,654

Recruitment Range: $50,088 - $68,000

  • Experience facilitating and presenting, strong communication, interpersonal collaboration, and public-speaking skills for engaging virtual and in-person training delivery.
  • Experience assessing training needs, interpreting performance data, and implementing strategic learning solutions.
  • Experience with curriculum design, content development, and creation of training materials as well as experience compiling, reviewing, modifying, and interpreting training data and system information.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency with LMS platforms/training technologies, digital content tools, and Microsoft 365 products.
  • Knowledge of the Subsidized Child Care Assistance Program and NC FAST to support training regarding policies, procedures, good practice, and resources for the subsidized child care program.

This position is funded in part through federal funds. This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.
