Software Automation Engineer

Software Developer

We are looking for a Software Developer to support platform automation and user-management tooling in a cloud-based environment transitioning from AWS to Azure. The role is hands-on with Python, REST APIs, SQL troubleshooting, and Terraform-based infrastructure. You will work in a Linux development environment, contribute to automation workflows, help maintain cloud services, and assist with basic SSO-enabled application integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance platform automation and internal tooling (primarily in Python)
• Work with cloud services across AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM) and Azure (Logic Apps, Functions)
• Build and consume REST APIs, perform API debugging using Postman/curl
• Troubleshoot services using logs, Linux commands, and SQL queries
• Write clean, maintainable code under guidance from senior engineers
• Participate in code reviews and follow GitLab/CI/CD workflows
• Assist in setting up enterprise applications requiring basic SSO understanding (OAuth/OIDC/SAML)
• Document code, automation processes, and troubleshooting steps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Skills and Requirements:

• Python (primary day-to-day language)
• Comfortable working in Linux (CLI navigation, logs, basic troubleshooting)
• Experience consuming and building REST APIs
• Exposure to AWS or Azure services
• Understanding of serverless concepts (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
• Ability to work with cloud-based automation workflows
• Experience querying and troubleshooting with SQL
• Ability to work with Oracle, Aurora RDS, or MySQL
• Terraform required (IaC is not optional in this role)
• Git/GitLab - Code reviews - CI/CD pipelines - Agile (Jira)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate in team LC Practicesenvironments
• Experience with Grails
• Prior AWS → Azure migration exposure
• Docker familiarity (not required, currently lightly used)
• Additional languages: Java, C/C++, Go
• Experience supporting or integrating applications using: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML
• Experience with automation tooling or internal platform development
• Knowledge of web frameworks (React, Angular)
• Additional cloud tools or infrastructure experience (Ansible, CloudFormation)
