The Vehicle Product Specialist advises customers on vehicle platforms, option packages, and powertrain choices with special attention to features, benefits, functionality, and information. Essential duties include greeting each customer promptly upon arrival at the dealership, staying informed of current vehicle inventory and location, tracking changing vehicle market conditions and incentives, being familiar with the appraisal process and selling the appraisal, attending sales meetings and special events as scheduled, and being familiar with departmental sales objectives. The specialist also records all lot traffic – name, email, and phone number. They work on service drive contacting customers for test drive opportunities and perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications include product knowledge, professionalism, empathy, fantastic communication skills, a professional and well-groomed personal appearance, a clean driving record, and willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Education and/or experience in automotive marketing and retail is helpful. Bilingual is a plus. Compensation includes a 60-day guarantee training salary.
