Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for civil engineering projects.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technicians to establish project requirements and schedule.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of infrastructure components.
Perform technical calculations.
Preparing permit submittals for civil engineering projects.
Corresponding with clients, regulatory agencies, and architects.
Review and interpret civil engineering codes and standards to ensure compliance.
Prepare project documentation, reports, and technical drawings for client and regulatory review.
Provide support during the construction phase to resolve design-related issues and adapt plans as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideal candidates are either a licensed Professional Engineer or have obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis in Water Resources from an accredited university, have passed the Engineering Intern Exam, and have 2-4 years of experience working under a Professional Engineer in civil design.
Advanced proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D, Hydraflow, and Autoturn.
Experience with geospatial software and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Previous experience in a similar role within the civil engineering field.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to effectively manage time and multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings, as required.
