Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking an Office Services Assistant to join our New Bern office. Applicants should be multi-task oriented, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should also have experience operating and maintaining various types of office equipment and operating a switchboard. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, external firm errands; interoffice delivery; processing of faxes; copies; proofing and processing mail; answering incoming calls to the office, routing calls accordingly; greeting and assisting clients; coordinating car rental reservations; placing lunch orders as needed for attorneys and clients; coordinating conference room and office reservations; maintaining lobby and conference room areas; and accepting deliveries. Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, but some college is preferred. Position is full time. On rare occasions, some night and weekend work may arise.
