The Maintenance Engineer participates in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility. Install, maintain, configure, and update all broadcast and information technology equipment and cabling in the facility. Understand and assist in compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC, local, state, and federal laws. Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility. Provide desktop support. Evaluate, select, install, service and maintain facility broadcast and information technology systems. Basic in-house IT support. Other duties as needed. Requirements and Skills: 3 years previous broadcast engineering experience. The ability to terminate broadcast and IT cables is required. Experience with Broadcast automation systems, routers, audio consoles, studio lighting, satellite ground stations and RF preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Basic understanding of Networking and internet security. Ability to read schematic diagrams. Ability to work extended hours and be on call as needed. May include overnight and weekends. Excellent communication skills. "Can Do" attitude. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/ IT practices. Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds as well work on ladders.
