Lead Analyst, RWD Support and Delivery

The Lead Analyst, RWD Support and Delivery is responsible for managing the intake and triage of RWD requests, supporting users with data access and tooling, and ensuring timely and compliant delivery of RWD assets. They are a detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills and a passion for operational excellence in data.

Responsibilities

RWD Support & Enablement

  • Serve as a frontline resource for RWD-related inquiries, providing guidance on data access, tools, and processes.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets, escalating complex issues to technical or governance teams as needed.
  • Set realistic expectations regarding data availability, completeness, lag times, and limitations associated with different RWD sources.
  • Maintain strong documentation of client interactions and decisions to ensure continuity and traceability across projects.
  • Collaborate with training team members to maintain and update user-facing documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base content.

RWD Delivery Coordination

  • Oversee day-to-day progress of RWD delivery workstreams, coordinating across data engineering, clinical, product, compliance, and client teams to remove operational bottlenecks.
  • Lead the operational QA process to confirm dataset completeness, accuracy, and alignment with defined requirements.
  • Amplify operational reliability by catching data anomalies early and proactively defining corrective strategies.
  • Ensure all deliveries meet internal standards for consistency, reproducibility, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain delivery timelines, proactively escalate risks, and ensure resource alignment across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of operational playbooks and standardized processes that improve throughput and reduce variability.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Adjust operational plans in real time to resolve blockers and maintain delivery commitments across concurrent projects.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline support and delivery processes through automation, templates, or SOPs.
  • Contribute to the development of playbooks and best practices for RWD operations.
  • Monitor key metrics (e.g., request volume, resolution time) and support reporting efforts.
  • Identify recurring delivery challenges and propose scalable solutions, automation opportunities, and pipeline optimizations.
  • Participate in post-project retrospectives to evaluate operational effectiveness and implement process improvements.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for any delivery discrepancies and provide transparent remediation plans.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in life sciences or related fields (e.g. data science, bioinformatics, computer science, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health services) + 5 to 7years of experience in outcomes research, health economics, epidemiology, or consulting for life sciences companies. + 2+ Years of project management or leadership experience + Expert in more than one data analysis tool or software (e.g., SAS, R, SQL). SQL experience required + Familiarity with RWD sources (e.g., EHR, claims, registries) and data delivery workflows + Experience with support platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and data access tools. + Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and compliance standards is a plus.

Success Indicators

Consistently accurate, complete, and on-time data deliveries with minimal quality issues. Strong operational coordination that drives predictable, reliable project throughput. Clear and consistent communication that reduces rework and ensures alignment across teams. Documented improvements to processes, templates, standards, and automation initiatives that directly enhance operational efficiency.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
