Hr Director

We are looking for an experienced HR Director to oversee and manage the human resources functions at our Monroe, North Carolina location. This role is integral to maintaining efficient payroll processes, managing employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations across multiple states. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and providing strategic HR support to a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll processes for both salaried and hourly employees across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, vision, dental, and 401(k) plans, while working with third-party administrators.
  • Oversee compliance with HR regulations, including documentation for H-2B workers and workers' compensation claims.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, fostering an open-door policy and ensuring accessibility for HR-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to address rising healthcare costs and propose innovative solutions.
  • Conduct regular visits to plant locations to engage with employees and address their needs.
  • Handle onboarding and background checks for new hires, ensuring seamless integration into the company.
  • Maintain and update HR systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with brokerage firms to manage self-insured health insurance plans effectively.
  • Provide strategic HR insights and recommendations to support the company's growth and operational goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a manufacturing or blue-collar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, with experience in multistate payroll management.
  • Familiarity with administering employee benefits programs, including 401(k) and health insurance.
  • Ability to manage compliance requirements for H-2B workers and workers' compensation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems, such as Paycom.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
