Job Opportunity With Marine Corps Community Services

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team. MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps community. We offer a team-oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors, and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities include: registering guests and assigning rooms, acting as a central liaison between registered guests and lodging personnel, issuing room keys and escorting guests to rooms when necessary, calculating and posting charges to guest accounts, completing housekeeping reports, and maintaining change fund. The position also requires dealing with personnel of all ranks and may require issuing a certificate of non-availability. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. This position is designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Requirements include: minimum one year of general clerical and/or customer service experience, hotel/resort or temporary lodging facility experience preferred, skill to operate a state-of-the-art computerized reservation system, ability to audit accounting and reservation records, and knowledge of customer service techniques to deal with various ranks of guests and situations.
