Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our team! Responsibilities include supervising assigned personnel, establishing and approving work schedules, assigning work, training and counseling employees, approving/disapproving leave, recommending commendatory/disciplinary actions, and resolving employee problems. Additionally, you will perform administrative work directing the operations of an assigned school cafeteria, ensuring compliance with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and other federal, state, and local rules and regulations. You will provide ongoing evaluation of program operations to ensure compliance with regulations, prepare and maintain accurate production records, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) records, and mandatory federal and state reports to ensure accountability. You will oversee the preparation and service of nutritious, appealing, high-quality meals, ensure that food, supplies, and equipment are adequate, and maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all products. You will lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.

Qualifications

What are we looking for? Must be knowledgeable in the operation of a food activity. Must have experience in and knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and food service operations. Basic skills in business administration, scheduling, accounting, policies, and performance standards. Skill to clearly communicate general and specific instructions to workers. Knowledge and skill to evaluate a variety of raw and cooked food items. Knowledge of food spoilage, foodborne illness, and food safety. Skill to follow oral and written instructions. Skill to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work. Must be able to successfully complete and maintain a proper food safety/sanitation certification.
