The primary purpose of the Location & Surveys Unit is to provide statewide engineering and geomatics analysis in the development of transportation facilities and acquisition of property in accordance with the best professional engineering and surveying practices consistent with all laws and regulations governing the State Highway System. We are looking for an Engineering Technician in Hope Mills. This position is responsible for technical work supporting higher-level technicians or engineers in route location surveying. It requires the performance of a wide variety of standardized and non-standardized tasks and assignments in compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data. The successful applicant must perform a full range of calculations and computations. This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. In this role you will perform:
