Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement hardware test infrastructure to validate industry standards, customer requirements, and internal specifications for TGCS Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
Develop and maintain best practices for hardware testing; stay current with relevant test architectures and facilitate their adoption.
Define and deliver the overall testing methodology, ensuring alignment with development processes and team capabilities.
Monitor and improve testing effectiveness through analysis across all stages of the Hardware Development Life Cycle (HDLC).
Identify and implement tools and technologies that complement existing systems and team skill sets.
Research and integrate best-of-breed practices to enhance testing solutions.
Provide technical support to the Test Manager and contribute to achieving strategic team goals.
Collaborate with global teams to expand coverage for functional, performance, stability, and stress testing.
Leverage existing test solutions to validate generic and customer-specific POS features.
Review major architectural designs for consistency, maintainability, and flexibility.
Communicate complex ideas and project objectives clearly across diverse audiences.
Support hardware development throughout the project lifecycle, including test phases and issue resolution.
Investigate and recommend new tools and techniques; participate in hardware/software evaluations.
Required Qualifications:
BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related hard sciences (Chemistry or Physics) with 8–12 years of experience, OR MS with 6–10 years of experience.
Previous management experience.
Advanced project management skills, including dependency interlock and status reporting.
Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, IGMP, UPnP).
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with high-quality results.
Strong work ethic, urgency, and adaptability to business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in hardware/software testing (functional and system-level).
Hardware testing experience with PCs, servers, and network hardware.
Development experience with PC components and systems.
Solid knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
Leadership, presentation, and communication skills.
Familiarity with configuration management discipline.
