Chief Client Services Officer
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chief Client Services Officer to join our team at Religious Community Services; a non-profit organization committed to ending homelessness. The Chief Client Services Officer will work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, providing support, resources, and advocacy to help them achieve stable housing and improve their overall well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments to determine clients needs and develop individualized service plans.
- Provide case management services, including counseling, goal setting, and resource referrals.
- Assist clients in accessing housing, healthcare, employment, education, and other supportive services.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to connect them with community resources and navigate complex systems.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
- Ensure and maintain daily and monthly reports for Client Services.
- Understand policies and procedures and daily objectives for services offered.
- Collaborate with shelter staff, community organizations, and service providers to coordinate care.
- Promote client engagement and empower individuals to achieve independence.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach efforts.
- Keep monthly and weekly reports up to date.
- Keep shelter guest updates, progress, and timelines up to date.
- Coordinate pantry volunteers.
- Schedule kitchen teams.
- Oversee Client Services/Programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Able and willing to honor the leadership, chain of command, standards, and objectives.
- Proficient with data entry, and computer skills for generation of daily office communication.
- Willing to continue education as needed or required.
- Excellent resource acquisition, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Must maintain a high degree of trustworthiness and reliability.
- Cultural competency and sensitivity.
- Valid North Carolina state drivers license.
Working Conditions/Physical Factors:
- Requires working with a diverse population, many of whom struggle with homelessness, addiction, and mental illness - continuously
- Environment may be odorous due to lack of personal hygiene and intoxication of guests - frequently
- Requires a sustained level of high energy, stamina, and the ability to move about all of the facilities on a regular and ongoing basis - frequently
- May be extremely loud at times - occasionally
- May be exposed to behaviorally aggressive guests - occasionally
- May be exposed to unsanitary conditions - occasionally
- See, hear, smell, and speak clearly - continuously
- Standing: Occasionally
- Traveling: to/from client appointments - occasionally, as needed basis
Equipment/Tools Used: Computer, Phone, Fax, Copier
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in social work, human services, psychology, or 5 years experience in case management and Department Leadership, LCSW
- Previous case management experience.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
