The Role
The Senior Manager, Performance Improvement - Advisory Services is responsible for selling, creating, and delivering solutions and professional services to meet client needs. While mentoring junior team members, the Senior Manager, Performance Improvement will work closely with healthcare providers on financial and operational improvements. A Senior Manager is responsible for project delivery and results, overseeing and developing junior team members, as well as solution/practice growth and advancement. Preference will be given to RN candidates with experience managing diverse engagements, including large transformations and change management projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager – Performance Improvement will have the following key responsibilities which include but are not limited to:
- Independently oversee large engagements or multiple small engagements. Examples include:
- Oversee work plans, issue logs, status reports, and related initiative trackers, as well as the completion of client deliverables and leadership level report outs and presentations
- Coordinate and participate in the delivery of presentations to stakeholders
- Lead teams and initiatives to completion, achieving engagement results including financial technical, and operational improvements, where applicable
- Manage core client relationships and delivery
- Anticipate project risks and provide timely solutions for addressing identified risk.
- Manage project budgets and staff utilization
- Control project scope, budget, and team member utilization. Identify and routinely sharing status project director
- Support sales efforts by identifying client needs and developing solutions
- Assist with the scoping and budgeting of proposals and SOW's
- Support account management and account planning activities, while taking ownership of key client relationships within target accounts
- Facilitate the growth and development of less senior team members by teaching them the technical tools and operational knowledge of the practice area and providing opportunities for them to take ownership of certain aspects of the project
- Influence the actions and opinions of others in the desired direction; exhibits judgment in leading others to worthwhile objectives. Maintains a high level of integrity.
- Involvement in the firm's practice development including knowledge capital and tool development
- Identify practice development opportunities and representing Nordic in thought leadership and presentations regarding Nordic's Performance Improvement Solutions
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field such as business, healthcare administration, or industrial engineering
- 7+ years related experience, certifications and registrations in certain areas
- Has 4+ years of people management experience
- 10+ years' experience in the healthcare industry is preferred
- Clearly definable accomplishments achieved during their healthcare experience, such as:
- Design and Implement Operational Change Management / Governance Programs
- Improved Clinical Outcomes / Quality
- Increases in Clinical Efficiency and Provider Satisfaction
- Improved Patient Engagement and Retention
- Able to positively influence and engage consultants and clients, generating interest and enthusiasm for the solution line
- Able to build lasting relationships with diverse individuals
- Ability to work independently with little oversight or support, if necessary
- Excellent organization skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent client-interaction skills, collaborative work style, and good interpersonal skills
- Flexible; able to quickly adapt to working with different employees, clients, and changing priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and other collaboration tools, including virtual meeting and cloud technologies
- Knowledge in at least one of the following is preferred: SQL, PowerBI, Python
- Ability to manage several tasks at various stages simultaneously and effectively prioritize

- Travel up to 50% of the time, including travel outside of regular work hours
