We are now looking for a System Simulation Engineer to our collaborative and supportive team in Espoo Finland. You will be responsible for analyzing, defining, optimizing, and verifying Physical Layer algorithms. You will collaborate closely with other Nokia teams and Bell Labs research to implement innovative concepts and next-generation mobile network equipment systems. In our team, you will have the opportunity to work with 3GPP specification teams and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies. You will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, where collaboration and creativity are encouraged.
The broader team is focused on L1 signal processing, algorithm development and AI/ML technologies, with the goal of driving advancements in the field. As a System Simulation Engineer, your contributions will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mobile network equipment systems.
• Analyze, design, optimize, and verify Physical Layer algorithms
• Collaborate with Nokia 3GPP specification teams and Nokia Bell Labs
• Contribute to the implementation of innovative concepts for next-generation mobile network equipment systems
• Demonstrate solid experience in L1 signal processing with a good level of MATLAB programming
• Proactively and independently tackle tasks while continuously learning and adapting to new challenges
Must-have:
• Master or PhD of Science degree in signal processing, communications, or computer science
• Industrial or wide research experience in commercial quality signal processing algorithm design, optimization, and verification, particularly in the signal reception area
• Solid skills in MATLAB and Python
• Proactive and independent attitude with the ability to work in a team and motivate your colleagues
• Good English language skills
Nice-to-have:
• Experience in machine learning and data-analysis techniques
• Knowledge of 5G Physical Layer algorithms as well as related 3GPP documentation, processes, and forums.
• Knowledge of algorithm optimization for DSP, HW accelerators and GPU.
• Familiarity with Agile concepts and principles
• Efficiency using AI-powered tools/assistants to improve daily work
