Digital Designer, Signal Simulation Area

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital designer, Signal simulation area to join our hardware development team. This role requires you to take ownership of Signal Integrity (SI) simulation tasks, documentation, and reporting within projects, demanding a solid understanding of simulation models and verification processes. You will work closely with PCB and Baseband designers, communicate effectively with various vendors, and demonstrate strong proactiveness and initiative in your responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform challenging simulations for high-speed links, DDRx, and other complex systems.
  • Analyse and document simulation results.
  • Verify simulation models and communicate effectively with vendors.
  • Collaborate closely with PCB and Baseband (BB) teams.
  • Proactively develop simulations, incorporating AI-driven opportunities and contributing to their advancement.
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to work in a lab environment, comparing simulated and measured data.
  • Develop and enhance the simulation environment at Nokia.
  • Support cloud computing services.

Your Skills and Experience

Must-Have:

  • BSc Electrical Engineering Degree or relevant education, training, and experience
  • Proven experience in simulation tasks, experience with at least one simulation tool in the SI (Signal Integrity) area, such as Siemens HyperLynx, Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, or Cadence Sigrity.
  • Understanding of signal integrity and power integrity principles
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proactive and willing to develop oneself, and to learn about new things related to AI and tool development
  • Understanding of HW development process
  • Good communication in English (written and spoken)

Nice-To-Have:

  • Experience with SPDM
  • Understanding of analog and digital electronics
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor less experienced designers
  • Understanding telecommunication products
  • Strong analytical skills

Please note that this role requires presence at the Oulu office and we are not offering international relocation option for this position.
