Claims Support Assistant
Are you detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about helping others? As a Claims Support Assistant, you'll provide essential administrative and customer support that keeps our claims operations running smoothly. You'll work closely with claim staff, assist customers with questions, and help ensure timely, accurate claim handling—all while making a meaningful difference for people when they need it most.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative claim support assistance to internal claim staff to assist in day-to-day operations which may include, but are not limited to; transcription of statements, making phone calls to vendors, lienholders or others, emailing or faxing supporting documents, and properly noting claim files.
- Serve as a liaison between claim staff and customers to answer basic claim questions or by use of internal systems such as Teams, telephone or Outlook.
- Directly support the claims CAT plan by answering phones and taking first notice of loss claims.
- Provide vendor access to new hires. Perform open and closed file transfers to and from claim staff from one supervisor team to another, or similar tasks within ClaimCenter.
- Provide ongoing assistance by entering or fixing vendor data to properly route into Claim system or for reporting accuracy.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by General Claims leadership in support of claim's operations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior listening skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to deliver a high-quality customer service experience while showing empathy and kindness to customers in need.
- Technical aptitude, including working knowledge with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $42,577-$49,488
