Plant/Service Specialist (Technician)
The Plant/Service Specialist (Technician) will work with the operation, installation, repair and maintenance of gas distribution facilities such as main lines and services. Essential Functions include:
- Act as Street Service A (crew leader) over what will normally be a Plant crew engaged in leak repair, service line installation and all phases of Plant work. The Plant/Service Technician will drive an assigned truck, maintain truck inventory and handle necessary paperwork. The Plant/Service Technician will be responsible for the work while at the job
- The Plant/Service Technician will also be responsible for all types of customer service work and other related work necessary to render gas service to
- The Plant/Service Technician must be available for overtime, emergency, and call-out work for both Plant and Service
- Must have a CDL within 24 months from the date of

Required Qualifications For Position include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have demonstrated computer experience
- Mechanical aptitude and be able to use various tools in the installation and repair of gas distribution facilities.
- Perform basic math calculations, prepare legible records and understand written and oral communications.
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven track record of comprehending and implementing company policies and procedures.
- Requirement to maintain applicable OQ qualifications.
- Must be able to pass applicable plant and service strength tests.
- Must be dependable in terms of adherence to deadlines and presence on the job.
- Requires skills in reading/interpreting gauges and dials.
- Must be able to be certified to wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
- On call, able to work overtime and respond to emergency call-outs.
- Must be able to read and interpret highway prints and company inventory maps.
- Must be able to document records, understand oral and written communications and prepare legible orders.
- Must be self-motivated and able to complete assignments with little or no direct supervision.
- Requires ability to organize and prioritize duties
- Must have strong oral and interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by successful interactions with others where tact and diplomacy are needed.
- Must have a safe work & driving record to operate company vehicles.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position include:
- 1-3 years of gas distribution, construction, plumbing or equivalent work experience
- Computer software experience
- Experience in the plumbing trade or in field operations in the natural gas industry

Salary Range*: $46.13 - $48.36 *The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
