Rate Range: $43.89 - $45.80 USD Hourly

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the installation, repair and replacement of distribution facilities such as mains and services and for the operation and maintenance of construction equipment.
• Responsible for the installation and removal of gas meters, meter settings and regulators and for inspection/testing of service and house lines.

Required Qualifications for Position

• Must have a minimum of 18 months recent field experience in a plant department classification or recent experience as a Customer Service A
• Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain a Kentucky Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and certification to operate company trucks under DOT/Kentucky motor carrier safety regulations for intra-state drivers within 6 months of entering the Plant and Service Combination classification
• Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations
• Must have mechanical aptitude and demonstrated skills in the use of hand tools. Experience reading/interpreting gauges and dials is preferred
• Must be able to prepare legible, complete and accurate orders
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in providing extraordinary customer service, particularly in situations where tact and diplomacy are needed
• Depending on applicant's background, may be required to pass the entry-level Customer Service B tests
• Must live within 20 miles or 25 minutes from 1504 US 68, Maysville, KY
• This position is subjected to DOT Anti-drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan (AMPP) regulations
• Must be able to pass plant/service strength test
• Must be able to pass odor-o-meter test
• Must be able to be certified to wear a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
• Required to work in all weather conditions
• Depending on incumbent's background, will be required to complete applicable customer service or plant training
• Depending on incumbent's background, will be required to pass Customer Service A test within required time frame
• Successful candidate may work non-traditional hours
• Successful candidate will be required for Plant and Service call out overtime
• Successful candidate will be required to work two weeks of routing service work each quarter (excluding call out overtime)

Salary Range*: $30.69 - $46.44

The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
