Part-Time Professor, Human Resources Management Program

Applications are invited for the position of Part-Time Professor, Human Resources Management Program, within the School of Business & Management, with a focus on occupational health & safety. This position will commence on January 12, 2026 and will require in-person teaching at our Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Business & Management Studies, successful candidates will provide an inspirational and effective learning environment for students, creating opportunities to share their professional experience while imparting skills and knowledge, facilitating effective classroom discussion, and administering assessments.

Required qualifications:

  • A Degree in Human Resource Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years recent related progressive experience in Human Resources including: benefits, disability management, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Indication of contribution within a team environment and positive work culture
  • Evidence of commitment to guiding and supporting students toward success
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations

Preferred Candidates may also possess:

  • Past Occupational Health & Safety experience is preferred
  • Master's degree preferred in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
  • CHRP or CHRL designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA)
  • Previous teaching experience at a post-secondary level or adult training experience
  • Practical experience with Brightspace and/or other online learning software programs
