Performance Engineer
The Performance Engineer will be based in Hyderabad. In this position, you will report to the Manager, Performance Engineering. The candidate would be working on utility scale solar PV projects located around the globe, right from the development stage to construction support. The candidate will also be working with other design engineers & structural engineers to propose the best possible project design.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
- Conduct site-specific energy generation assessments and energy efficiency evaluations for solar PV projects using PVsyst.
- Perform comparative analysis of energy yields between different tracking technologies, including conventional trackers.
- Develop terrain surfaces and perform slope and contour analysis using Autodesk Civil 3D, including the generation of pier coordinates and heatmaps.
- Create shade scenes in PVsyst aligned with industry standards and site constraints.
- Estimate diffuse irradiance and row-to-row gains using internal templates and modeling best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend tracker configurations across variable slopes and terrain types.
- Analyze electrical losses within PV plants across AC and DC circuits to identify performance optimization opportunities.
- Take ownership of Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs) for both AC and DC systems.
- Contribute to the design of LT and HT panel systems, leveraging hands-on electrical engineering experience.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical oversight, quality control, and performance feedback.
- Share ideas and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design methodologies and operational efficiency.
Here is some of what you'll need (required):
- BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 8 years of experience in performance engineering (solar industry preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of PV module technologies and key plant components.
- Proficiency in PVsyst for performance modeling and shading scene development.
- Advanced expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D for terrain modeling and slope analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Strong understanding of ground terrain types and their impact on plant layout and yield.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
- Familiarity with key PV Plant components and technical operation parameters.
- Sound Knowledge on various Ground terrain types.
- Optional knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, Python.
