Senior Workday Systems Engineer

About the Role

The Senior Workday Systems Engineer designs, builds, tests, documents, and supports Workday Integration and Platform solutions across the full suite of Workday modules. You will analyze user requirements, evaluate issues, and develop new or update automated solutions that meet the business requirements. You will participate in projects, system implementations and improvement initiatives. You will lead collaborative discussions on technical design, ensuring the quality and timeliness of project and product deliverables. You will report to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications Security.

Responsibilities:

  • You will design and configure Workday solutions and integrations to meet our unique requirements.
  • You will collaborate with business leaders to gather and document detailed requirements related to Workday.
  • You will provide guidance and subject matter expertise on platform capabilities and limitations.
  • You will lead brainstorming and requirements gathering workshops to assist and co-design processes.
  • You will stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in HR & Finance, advocating for the adoption of Workday functionality.
  • You will partner with business leadership on escalations and cross-functional impacts.
  • You will participate in Workday's semi-annual release process, working with business teams to address critical impacts and upcoming enhancement opportunities.
  • You will lead/participate in peer review of integrations and code development.
  • You will maintain awareness of new and planned Workday functionality, actively engaging with the Workday Community to prepare and communicate changes that could impact business.
  • You will maintain service delivery excellence including but not limited to a list of key deliverables and timelines across projects/initiatives with dependencies and proactively communicate progress to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Workday functionality, modules, and integrations
  • 3+ years of experience with implementation and functional configuration of Workday Financials and/or HCM modules
  • 3+ years of experience with designing, building, maintaining Workday integrations using EIB, Cloud Connect, RaaS, Studio, Orchestrate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Security experience
  • Experience with Workday Extend
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive
  • Experience building Prism applications

The annual base pay range for this role is between:

$130,000 - $145,000 USD
