Research Support Assistant

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full time position for a Research Support Assistant who will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The Research Assistant will assist with the performance of clinical research studies in the Psychiatry Department's Center for Autism and Developing Brain (CADB) and should have superior interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist to recruit subjects for research studies based on study recruitment criteria (25%)
  • Prepares and maintains paper and electronic research and clinical records (25%)
  • Assist in clinical research assessments using specialized interviews and psychological assessment measures under supervision from senior research staff (25%)
  • Enters data in various databases including test scores, demographics, and other research records (20%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned (5%)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related science or an equivalent education with clinical research experience and training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with autism or with children and families with developmental disabilities or mental health issues preferred
  • Previous clinical research experience preferred
