About the Role

As a Laboratory Technologist in our Transfusion Services department, you will:

• Perform laboratory procedures essential to the preparation and dispensing of blood and blood products ordered by physicians.
• Maintain and monitor blood inventory and product availability in alignment with departmental guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with clinical teams and experience high levels of direct interaction in a supportive, innovative environment.
• Contribute to the vital work of a busy Level 1 Trauma Center as we expand our team to meet the needs of our growing department.

Preferred Criteria

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist
• ASCP certification

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related health-science field
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from the New York State Education Department

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range: $52.61-$65.45/Hourly
