Newmont Cerro Negro is an operation where the employee lives in a camp and then returns to their hometown for rest, located 600 meters above sea level in the low Patagonian plains of southern Argentina. It is two hours by car to the south from the nearest community, Perito Moreno, and six hours by car to the southwest from Comodoro Rivadavia, where the nearest commercial airport with flights to Buenos Aires is located. Newmont Cerro Negro has three underground high-grade mining operations – Eureka, Mariana Central, and Marina Norte – and two underground deposits – Emilia, which reached commercial production in 2022, and San Marcos, which is currently under development.

Achieving objectives with strategic vision, leadership capacity, and strong safety orientation, to supervise and optimize drilling, loading, and hauling operations in underground mine.
Supervising daily drilling, loading, and hauling activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and optimal production.
Leading and managing the work team to establish a positive and inclusive work environment that meets production goals.
Effectively coordinating with stakeholders to ensure production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitoring the compliance with the Health, Safety, Environment, and Loss Prevention (HSLP) program.
Ensuring the safe and efficient use of mining equipment and providing training to foster operator multifunctionality.
Degree in Mining Engineering (or related).
Experience in underground drilling and blasting and UG equipment management.
Experience leading teams of at least 20 people.
Experience in cost analysis, productivity, and improvement projects.
Intermediate use of Excel, Power BI, programming, and statistics.
