Your Impact
As an Officer, Payment Services, you will process accounts payable transactions and travel expense claims accurately and on time. You will follow standardized systems and processes to ensure data integrity, compliance, and smooth vendor payments across Newmont's operations.
As Part Of Our Team, You Will
- Process accounts payable and travel/expense information into the system, meeting accuracy and timeliness standards.
- Review un-invoiced receipts and unreceipted invoice reports, following up with requestors, requisitioners, and sourcing teams to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct period.
- Perform vendor account reconciliations to prevent errors such as duplicate or incorrect payments.
- Support month-end accounts payable cycle closure and ledger reporting.
- Process travel and expense claims, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Adhere to established AP systems, processes, and standards.
Prerequisites For Your Success In This Role
- Technical qualification or degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Foundation-level proficiency in SAP Accounts Payable and Materials Management systems.
- Experience with expense management systems (e.g., Concur).
- Understanding of AP processes, including payment hold resolution, payment run controls, and vendor account reconciliations.
- Knowledge of reporting requirements (SOX + applicable local regulations).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Your Work Environment
- You will be part of Newmont's Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, working within the Corporate function. The role is people-focused and involves cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders across People, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
- While the position is intended to be hybrid, as we establish our foundation, we will begin on-site to foster strong relationships, align our strategies, and ensure a solid framework for long-term success.
- This role is for the day OR night shift schedule. We currently have 8 open positions for Officer, Payment Services. Four roles will support operations during the day shift, while the other four will cover the night shift to ensure continuous support across time zones.
- Night shift will include a 20% pay differential in recognition of the additional commitment.
- Compensation will be aligned with the local Costa Rican market and paid in Costa Rican colones (CRC).
