Your Impact

As Lead, Accounting Services, you will ensure accurate, timely, and complete financial services across multiple domains. Your leadership will enable reliable reporting, process excellence, and compliance that support Newmont's strategic decisions.

As Part Of Our Team, You Will

• Oversee accounting services including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and deliver financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and manage the Fixed Asset Register and related processes.
• Assess and strengthen internal controls across accounting activities.
• Lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and implementation of new tools and systems.
• Provide training and guidance to business users and finance teams on accounting standards and processes.

Prerequisites For Your Success In This Role

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA (or equivalent) preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP Finance modules and consolidated reporting.
• Experience in shared services or service delivery accounting functions.
• Skilled in financial analysis and process improvement.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication abilities.

Your Work Environment

• You will be part of Newmont's Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, working within the Finance function. The role is people-focused and involves cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders across People, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
• While the position is intended to be hybrid, as we establish our foundation, we will begin on-site to foster strong relationships, align our strategies, and ensure a solid framework for long-term success.
• Compensation will be aligned with the local Costa Rican market and paid in Costa Rican colones (CRC).
