Engineer Tailings & Water

Merian Project Engineer

Provide engineering support for tailings and water management to ensure safety and efficiency.

Essential Duties:

• Adhere to compliance with environmental and safety regulations
• Execute regular inspections and quality assurance of tailings facilities
• Prepare and maintain records of all QA/QC activities
• Support technical aspects of geotechnical inspections
• Execute continuous improvement initiatives in QA/QC processes
• Reporting on tailings and water to senior management
• Prepare and execute QA/QC plans for tailings and water systems
• Responsible for assessing relevant risks, executing mitigation measures, and continuously monitoring for risks

Training & Experience:

Knowledge:

• Formal qualifications in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines
• Experience in construction planning
• Experience in compliance monitoring
• Knowledge of risk and relevant statutory legislation and regulations
• Knowledge of water balance and pumping systems

Technical skills:

• Advanced management of facility in accordance with Global International Standard on Tailings Management
• Advanced project and construction management
• Advanced risk management
• Advanced data analysis
• Competent in QA/QC processes

Work schedule: 14x7x10
