Your Impact

As an Officer in Accounting Services, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of Newmont's financial data. Your work will directly support our financial reporting and compliance processes, helping the business make informed decisions.

As Part Of Our Team, You Will

• Process high-volume daily financial transactions

• Support reconciliations of statements and the General Ledger

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare information for internal audits

• Assess and analyze financial data as required

• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and processes within the team

Prerequisites For Your Success In This Role

• Degree or technical qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or experience in lieu of a degree.

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and standards

• Developing proficiency with SAP Accounting Modules, journal entry preparation, and reconciliations

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related tools

• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and practical judgment

• Collaborative mindset with effective communication and feedback skills

Your Work Environment

• You will be part of Newmont's Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, working within the Corporate function. The role is people-focused and involves cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders across People, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.

• While the position is intended to be hybrid, as we establish our foundation, we will begin on-site to foster strong relationships, align our strategies, and ensure a solid framework for long-term success.

• This role is for the day shift schedule.

• Compensation will be aligned with the local Costa Rican market and paid in Costa Rican colones (CRC).
