Your Impact
As an Analyst, Payment Services, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payments to vendors and employees. Your work will support smooth financial operations, policy compliance, and positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
As Part Of Our Team, You Will
- Process payments for goods and services in line with contract terms, policies, and deadlines.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders before processing payments in the system.
- Collaborate with Procurement and other partners to resolve invoice or payment issues.
- Conduct basic financial statement analysis to identify anomalies and omissions.
- Track performance indicators such as payment error rates, days payable outstanding, and invoice processing times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare data for audits and reporting requirements.
- Manage travel and expense claims, ensuring policy compliance and accurate reporting.
Prerequisites For Your Success In This Role
- Technical qualification or degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in SAP Materials Management and Accounts Payable processes.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, purchasing processes, and expense management systems (e.g., Concur).
- Understanding of SOX and relevant country-specific reporting requirements.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Your Work Environment
- You will be part of Newmont's Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, working within the Corporate function. The role is people-focused and involves cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders across People, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
- While the position is intended to be hybrid, as we establish our foundation, we will begin on-site to foster strong relationships, align our strategies, and ensure a solid framework for long-term success.
- This role is for the day OR night shift schedule. We currently have four open positions for Analyst, Payment Services. Two roles will support operations during the day shift, while the other two will cover the night shift to ensure continuous support across time zones.
- Night shift will include a 20% pay differential in recognition of the additional commitment.
- Compensation will be aligned with the local Costa Rican market and paid in Costa Rican colones (CRC).
