As an Analyst in Accounting Services, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial data and supporting Newmont's compliance and reporting standards. Your attention to detail ensures the integrity of financial records that drive informed business decisions.
• Prepare journal entries with proper documentation.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Perform basic financial analysis to identify anomalies or omissions.
• Reconcile monthly General Ledger accounts.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in transactions and documentation.
• Assist with audits, tax coordination, and process improvement projects.
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or experience in-lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with SAP Finance modules and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a shared services or finance environment.
• You will be part of Newmont's Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, working within the Corporate function. The role is people-focused and involves cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders across People, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
• While the position is intended to be hybrid, as we establish our foundation, we will begin on-site to foster strong relationships, align our strategies, and ensure a solid framework for long-term success.
• This role is for the day shift schedule.
• Compensation will be aligned with the local Costa Rican market and paid in Costa Rican colones (CRC).
