HR Assistant Opportunity

Kelly Professional & Industrial is looking for an HR Assistant to work at a global automotive manufacturer and warehouse in Santa Teresa, NM. Available shift is 1st shift: 8a-4.30p, Mon-Fri at $22/hr plus occasional mandatory overtime on Sat. Why you should apply to be an HR Assistant:

What's a typical day as an HR Assistant? You will be:

  • Working closely with the corporate legal team and responding to EEOC and other legal inquiries.
  • Supporting operations with supplier payment process and other KPI reports.
  • Working closely with our FSS and customer financial group to manage invoice payments.
  • Ensuring FMLA and LOA requests are managed properly and in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring the PeopleNet Time Keeping System, correcting punches, and closing clocks as scheduled.
  • Preparing PTO on a weekly basis and sending it to corporate for processing.
  • Holding regular and thorough New Hire Orientations to include tours of the work area.
  • Identifying and assessing training needs with leadership, such as harassment prevention training, interacting with a diverse workforce, and appropriate behavior in the workplace.
  • Auditing payroll and verify worked hours in the system; close and submit payroll for processing.
  • This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

    • Possess strong computer/Microsoft Office (Excel) skills
    • Hold SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP Certification(s) (strongly preferred)
    • Are bilingual Spanish/English on a professional level
    • Have 4+ years experience working in HR/payroll
    • Can manage multiple conflicting priorities
    • Have a Highschool Diploma or GED; College Degree preferred
    • Have perfect attendance and a positive attitude
