Perform a variety of engineering technician duties in support of an assigned area including conducting inspections; collect technical data, evaluate processes and recommend corrective actions; assist in the preparation of construction plans, reports, maps and graphs; and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Education directly related to the minimum requirements below may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, GIS/CADD technology or a related field; and three (3) years of technical engineering and inspection experience.
Additional requirements: possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six months from date of hire. Possession of a valid Water Utility Operator Level IV certificate issued by the State of New Mexico within one (1) year of from date of hire.
