Summary: Under general supervision plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates the engineering work for a total project of moderate scope or for detailed phases of part of a major project.
Salary Grade: G06 Minimum Midpoint Maximum $78,537 - $106,024 - $133,511
Competencies: Broad knowledge and proven ability to apply engineering principles, practices and regulations to, and perform economic and decision analysis studies of issues in areas including, but not limited to, generation, transmission, distribution, system planning, financial and regulatory issues, asset utilization, and environmental controls and regulations. Ability to read, interpret and apply national, state and local codes and standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC, ACI, AISC, ASME, NACE, etc.). Ability to translate electrical theory and physics to utility application for improving system reliability. Ability to make informed repair decisions following company protocols. Comfortable working in and around high voltage (up to 345kV) electrical facilities and equipment. Ability to forecast budgets. Demonstrated leadership skills, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a college/university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET), plus four or more years of engineering experience or three or more with a Fundamentals of Engineering certificate or three or more with a Master’s Degree in Engineering. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Fundamentals of Engineering certificate is preferred. Must possess current, legally valid driver’s license and meet the Company’s driving record requirements.
