Construction Engineer I. This is an entry-level position located at the Los Alamos National Lab. Provides support to more experienced construction engineering personnel by performing routine entry level construction engineering assignments. This project has moved past the design phase and is moving into the installation and construction phase.

This position may be subject to DOE Order 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, and Qualification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities. This DOE Order establishes entry-level requirements to ensure employees in the positions can successfully perform the requirements of the job. DoD and DoE experience is preferred. Work may be required outside normal business hours and sometimes on short notice. NQA1, glovebox systems, electrical and manufacturing experience a plus.
B.S Degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university and 1-2 years of applicable progressive experience, degree may be substituted for experience.
Q Clearance preferred but at a minimum must have ability to qualify for a Q clearance. Criminal Background Check. Pre-placement Drug Screening.
