Clinical Data Engineer

As a Clinical Data Engineer, you will work closely with clinical operations and data management teams. You will be a valued member of the Life Sciences team and work collaboratively in a dynamic and inclusive team within the environment at Cognizant. In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with clinical operations, data management, and other teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable specifications and process flows.
• Create and maintain documentation to support systems and integrations.
• Work with the Data Analyst to define reporting requirements for dashboards and reports.
• Ensure accurate reporting by understanding and supporting data transformation processes.

What you need to have to be considered:

• Ability to work closely with clinical operations, data management, and other business units.
• Strong analytical skills to elicit and document detailed business requirements for data integrations.
• Capability to translate complex business needs into functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation (data dictionaries, flow diagrams, interface specifications, business rules).
• Understanding of data lineage and transformation processes from source systems to data lakes.

Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until November 30, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $113,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
